Frustration & GSP Rushfit

I'll vent cause my stupid government quiz kicked me out halfway through!

I'm going to be starting GSP RUSHFIT tomorrow (today depending on your time zone)

I know I should do the assessment thing to log where I'm starting but I have a pretty good idea. (That and I didn't have time this weekend!!) But other than that I'm going to be starting today.

I'll be starting with the beginner level for the first 8 weeks to see how it works out.
I've dabbled with p90x but sometimes it gets too hard to keep up with it all. The nutrition and the workouts.
But, I'm hoping with this blog and the support of my followers I can make a difference in my life and finally lose this extra baggage. I'm going to post up a "before" picture and hopefully will have an awesome "after" picture as well.

Wish me luck!

GSP Rushfit Part Deux

Due to studying and test I haven't really been able to train. Quite frankly, I'm bad at keeping up with workouts sometimes. But it happens right? Life catches up to you and you don't have enough time. What I'm getting at is I'm going to redo week 1. But I'm going to keep track of it on here. Everywhere from reviewing the work out, posting pics, what I ate and my measurements. Who knows maybe I'll complete it and be in great shape. Til then I'll go back to studying.

What Anderson Silva really said!

One of our Black Belts put this little "translation" together of what Anderson Silva really said after beating Belfort a few weeks back!

Out of curiousity

I wanna know everyone's favorite Martial Art!

GSP Rushfit

Did the first week of GSP's Rushfit. My favorite one so far is the Fight Conditioning. It had everything from striking to bjj ground game it was awesome. I felt comfortable with the ground work doing triangles and hip escapes ha! Rushfit reminds me of P90X though as for the intensity and the at home style. Maybe more so like INSANITY! But regardless I'm going to start doing it everyday and blogging about each workout. It'll be fun and it'll get me in better shape haha.

Training

What's more unfortunate than not getting to train? Having to give it up for a week because of school and life. Phooey... Well at least I can go back after I complete my school work >.>

Introduction!

Alright, so this is my first blog. Whether you're curious or not I'll talk a little about my experience with MMA. To be quite honest I had no idea about Mixed Martial Arts until December of 2009 when my boss started talking to me about it. I had see UFC, Affliction, TapOut and so many other MMA brands that I had no idea what it was. But, talking to my boss really opened my eyes to MMA. I was hooked and eventually wanted to train so I started training at a local Gracie Barra gym. All I do right now is the BJJ classes but I do Gi and No-Gi training. I want to eventually get up to "mixing" it with Muay Thai. Right now I'm a 3 stripe white belt and I go to training 2-4 times a week, I never can get to the full 6 arggg.

As for actually watching MMA...I only catch the online highlights. BUT! I did get to go to Strikeforce Houston which was absolutely amazing to watch. To add to that we sat 2 rows from the floor when originally our seat were in the upper deck! I think there was a mix up in sales or something but I didn't care we got better seats for a lower price! Really that's all for now hopefully others will share their incites and experiences of the MMA world.
